Health disclaimer
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and none of it is a substitute for a qualified clinician who knows your situation.
Dietary supplements
Statements on this site about dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
We write about what is in a product and how well it is documented. We do not write about what a product will do to a condition, because that is not a claim anyone selling a supplement is permitted to make and not a claim we are willing to make either.
Water treatment
Water treatment claims are about contaminant reduction, not about health outcomes. Where a product is certified to a standard, we name the standard and what it covers. Where it is not certified, we say so. Neither a certification nor its absence tells you anything about whether a product will affect how you feel.
Before you change anything
Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement, particularly if you are pregnant or nursing, take prescription medication, or are managing an existing condition. Supplements can interact with medication. If you are experiencing symptoms that concern you, see a clinician — do not use this site or any other to self-diagnose.
Individual results
People differ. Anything we describe as typical is drawn from published documentation, not from a promise about you.
